Children’s House (3-6 years)
Preschool/Children’s House
Monday-Wednesday and/or Thursday-Friday from 9:00-12:00 noon, children, ages 3 and 4, are invited to work with the Montessori curriculum in a Christian context. Trained teachers give beautiful lessons on a daily basis to help children grow in independence, respect and responsibility. The classroom has distinct areas of learning: The Atrium with the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language Arts, Cultural, including Musikgarten classes called “Cycle of Seasons.” There is an All-Day Preschool option available upon request.
Kindergarten/Extended Day
Monday through Wednesdays from 9:00-3:00 pm, children, ages 5 and 6, are working in the Children’s House (as described above), in addition to staying throughout lunch extended into the afternoon. During lunch, grace and manners are emphasized. In the afternoon, lessons in language and mathematics are expanded, enabling the child to enjoy and explore the world and all its wonder. Kinesthetic materials that young children enjoy can cause the child to excel rapidly and to completely understand various operations, making math and language concepts easily attainable.
